‘Faint’ presents images of a fainting girl set against the sound of bird song. The images are both romantic and sinister in appearance. The piece relates to mesmerism and trance, and to previous works that dealt with spiritualism and mediums ‘Faint’ was initiated during a residency on the ‘Artists Work Programme’ at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin and was shot on location at the Irish Museum of Modern Art and Powerscourt Gardens, Wicklow.
